These classes are designed for those new to Sacred Grove, as well as for anyone seeking a gentle and accessible place to begin. Each offering is rooted in hands-on practice and supported by clear, grounded teaching, honoring traditional approaches while allowing space for thoughtful exploration.

Classes and workshops are offered in the Windham, Connecticut area, as well as online throughout the year. This creates a simple and accessible way to explore these practices, whether you are attending in person or joining from home.

Each experience is designed to help you build familiarity and confidence over time, offering a steady introduction to the work and a foundation for those who may wish to continue deepening.

Choosing Your Session

Introduction sessions are shorter and offer a sample of the full class, allowing you to explore the practice in a simple and approachable way. Full classes provide more time for hands-on experience, deeper learning, and the opportunity to build confidence through practice.

Art of Herbal Blends: Introduction

An introductory class exploring traditional approaches to creating herbal tea blends. This session focuses on sensory experience, plant familiarity, and the simple, thoughtful combination of herbs within a calm, hands-on learning environment.

This shorter session offers a practical way to begin working with herbs while providing a preview of the full class.

Fire Tender: Introduction

An introductory class focused on building and tending a small fire in a safe and grounded way. This outdoor, small-group class emphasizes practical skills, awareness, and developing confidence when working with fire.

Guided Drum Meditation: Introduction

This small-group class offers a guided meditative experience using rhythmic drumming to support relaxation, focus, and inward awareness. Participants are guided through one or two journeys with time to settle, experience, and gently return. This shorter, educational session is designed to be accessible to those new to this work and provides a sample of the full class. It does not include training for independent practice.

Introduction to Holistic Healing is an online class inviting a wider understanding of health through a grounded mind-body approach. Together we explore practical tools and gentle reflection that support greater awareness and relationship with self.

Fire Cider 101

An introductory class examining traditional approaches to crafting fire cider. Participants explore ingredients, preparation methods, and historical context through hands-on demonstration and discussion.

Guided Drum Meditation

Introduction to Journey Work

A small-group class blending education and guided practice to explore drum-supported inner journeying in a grounded, structured, and thoughtfully held setting.

Pendulums - Module 1

Module 1 will look at a brief history of the pendulum, different types used, what they can and cannot do, and how to begin to work with them. This is a fun and participatory class. Supplies are offered for an additional fee to make your own pendulum, or you can use your own.

Sacred Scents

An introductory class focused on exploring aromatic plant essences through scent, symbolism, and traditional associations. This class emphasizes sensory awareness, personal reflection, and thoughtful engagement with aromatic materials.

Singing Bowls 101

An introductory class offering a foundational overview of Himalayan singing bowls. Participants explore basic techniques, sound awareness, and attentive listening within a calm, guided learning environment.

Smudging Basics

An introductory class exploring the traditional and cultural use of smoke-clearing practices. This class focuses on respectful application, plant awareness, and creating intentional space within a grounded learning environment.
