Understanding Root & Threshold
Root & Threshold is a year-long contemplative journey centered around seasonal awareness, tree wisdom, symbolic exploration, creativity, and relationship with the rhythms of the living world.
Inspired by seasonal cycles and Ogham, the program moves through 13 Tree Gatherings. Each gathering explores a different tree and seasonal threshold through meditation, reflection, discussion, observation, and creative integration. Between the Tree Gatherings, participants continuing through the year program are invited to an optional 75-minute online Community Circle for questions, connection, and integration. The year concludes with a Final Threshold Gathering, offering a space to look back on the journey, share insights, and bring the cycle to a close.
Rather than following a rigid curriculum or certification model, Root & Threshold invites participants into an evolving relationship with the turning year, and the symbolic themes held within each season.
Gatherings are designed to support personal reflection, creativity, seasonal observation, and contemplative exploration within a grounded and supportive space. Participants may attend individual Tree Gatherings when space is available. Priority is given to those continuing though the full program. Once the group reaches its maximum of six continuing participants, individual registration will no longer be available.
No prior experience with Ogham, meditation, or symbolic practice is required.
The Seasonal Cycle
Root & Threshold unfolds through a year-long cycle of 13 Tree Gatherings, beginning with Birch and continuing through the turning year. Each class explores a different tree and reflective theme connected through creativity, observation, meditation, and relationship with the living world.
The program follows a four-week rhythm, with an optional online Community Circle offered in between classes for those continuing through the journey.

The Root & threshold journey concludes with a final gathering. Participants are invited to look back over the year, revisit what has emerged through the Tree Gatherings and creative practices. A time to honor the threshold between what has been completed and what may be beginning.
Community Circle
Between Tree Gatherings, participants continuing through the Root & Threshold journey are invited to an optional 75-minute online Community Circle.
The Circle offers a quiet space for questions, connection, and anything that may arise between gatherings. It is not an additional class or teaching session. The Community Circle offers an opportunity to pause, share, and stay connected with the journey as it unfolds.
Participation is optional, and there is no additional fee.

Entering the Cycle
Root & Threshold begins with Birch, the opening Tree Gathering of the year-long journey.
Participants may begin with Birch and, following the opening gathering, choose whether they would like to continue through the remaining Tree Gatherings and Community Circles. Those continuing through the journey are given priority as the group moves through the cycle.
When space remains, individual Tree Gatherings may be available throughout the year. Availability will be noted on the individual gathering registration page.
